Apologies for the long silence! Over the last few weeks, I’ve been so busy and wrapped up with normal every day stuff that I haven’t had the time or energy to share anything interesting online, hence why I’m posting this a lot later than when I would have wanted to. However, better late than never, and here are the things that I’ve enjoyed this March.
- The Midnight Library- The best book that I read this month has to be Matt Haig’s best-seller, The Midnight Library, which was voted the best fiction book of the year by Goodreads users in 2020. I haven’t read any of Matt Haig’s novels before but I have followed him on Twitter and Instagram for a while now as I really respect him for honestly sharing his struggles with mental health and helping to remove the stigma of anxiety and depression in society. The novel tells the story of a young woman who feels as though she doesn’t want to live any more, but has the opportunity to undo any of her life’s regrets in lives in a parallel universe. It teaches the reader important lessons about self acceptance and I can’t recommend reading the book enough.

- Primark Hooped Earrings- After 24 years, I finally found the confidence in myself to wear hooped earrings and I’m so pleased I have. I picked up this set of silver hoops in Primark recently and I think they’re an absolute steal for two pounds! Also, as someone who is consciously making an effort to cut down on my consumption of fast fashion, I also feel as though they’re a good investment if you look after them as they’re such a timeless and chic style that I won’t go out of style in a couple months time. They’re very simple and would compliment nearly every outfit.

- Killing Eve- This month has seen the return of BBC’s smash hit drama Killing Eve for its fourth and final series. If you’ve been living under a rock for the last few years and have don’t know what the show is about, it’s basically about a blood-thirsty female assassin and an undercover intelligence agent who become obsessed with each other and chase each other around Europe in a deadly and dramatic game of cat and mouse. I’m being honest, I think that the show peaked in the first two seasons, but I am still hooked to Villainelle and Eve’s explosive relationship and can’t wait to watch the grand finale tonight.

- Tofu stir fry- Like many people, I’ve been trying to cut down on eating meat in attempt to cut down on my carbon footprint, but the one vegan staple that I had never enjoyed eating was tofu. However, this month I cooked myself a tofu stir fry from recipe that I found online and I was pleasantly surprised by it. The secret is to season it with plenty of tasty flavours, such as honey and soy sauce. Delicious.
