Hello there!
I’m notoriously terrible at describing myself but here goes… (hopefully writing this will make it easier to remember for the next job interview where I have to introduce myself to the rest of the group). My name is Simone and I’m from a small town, just outside of County Durham. I’m 26 years old and a Virgo. That suggests that I am very organised and have a very detailed 5 year life plan, but that is definitely not the case for me. I’m simply trying my best each day at a time.
On this blog, I write about a little bit of everything. I originally started it to share my opinions on more serious, note-worthy issues as I thought that’s what I should be writing, as a grown-up English graduate in my twenties. However I soon realised that, although I am interested in the important social issues of the wider world, I’m not as dedicated to those subjects as others who can do a much better job than me about writing about them.
I neglected this blog for a year as I was so busy with working/other life stuff, but revisited it during the lockdown when I spent 3 months inside my childhood bedroom and I wanted to share how I was feeling to somebody else other than my parents. Most of my posts so far have been written in a global pandemic, so don’t expect any exciting stories or adventures just yet but hopefully things will get back to some normality again soon. I want to share a mix of how I’m feeling about the wider worldwide issues (which is currently mental) as well as the every day stuff. What I’ve been doing, what I’ve been buying, what I’ve been watching on the telly.
If that sort of thing is up your street, feel free to have a little scroll.
